Tunisian Crochet for Beginners

A little like crochet … a little like knitting … this is the beauty of Tunisian Crochet.

In this Tunisian crochet class, you'll learn:

  • The basics about Tunisian crochet hooks and how to hold them when working Tunisian stitches
  • How to work the Tunisian foundation row by opening and closing stitches. This foundation row is the basis from which all Tunisian projects are built.
  • The basic Tunisian stitches

Prerequisites:
Non needed, but it will be easier if you already know how to crochet.

Bring Materials:
DK weight yarn and Tunisian hook to match (one size bigger than the label tells you). Materials are available in store.

Costs:
*$35.00 for 2hrs class

*Prepayment is required for all classes. Class sizes are limited. Classes may be canceled due to insufficient registration. If a class is canceled, registered students will receive a full refund. Students who wish to withdraw must do so one week before the class start date to receive a refund.

Fair Isle knitting, also known as stranded colorwork knitting, is a technique for working two (or more) colors of yarn in the same row. ... You will pick up each strand as you need it and this leaves a strand or float of yarn on the backside of the work.

Homework is required! You will have to knit the brim of the hat in the round at home before the class starts! Work the brim in colour A.
